Privacy Policy
The short version. This version of the app collects no data, from anyone, children included. It has no account, and it plays offline. Everything it saves stays on your phone. Android’s own backup, if you have turned it on, may copy the game’s saved data to your Google account, as it does for your other apps.
Bubble Springs: Bounce Puzzle (“Bubble Springs”, “the app”) is a free game for Android, published by ByteOnyx, the one-person studio of Md. Yousuf Ali (“we”, “us”). This page explains what the app does with data.

1. What data we collect
This version of the app collects none. It has no account and asks you to create nothing. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, age, date of birth, location, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera.
We run no servers of our own, so we receive nothing about you from the game. Everything the game remembers is listed in section 3, and it stays on your phone.
2. Google Play Games
This version does not use Google Play Games Services. There is no sign-in, no leaderboard, no online achievement and no cloud save, and the app asks Google for no account permission (no OAuth scope).
3. Data stored on your device
This version saves the following on your device only, in the app’s own private storage:
- the stars you won on each level, and which levels you skipped and have not won yet;
- your Long Climb: your best height, the highest base camp in your climb, how many throws your climb has taken, and your fewest throws to the summit;
- which zones the game has already shown you, so the map can mark new ones;
- whether you have seen Pip’s story, so it plays only on your first Play;
- your settings: sound, music, vibration and world looks.
None of it is sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it from the phone.
Android backup. Android can back up apps’ data to your Google account and put it back on a new phone. If you have turned backup on, Android may include the list above in your phone’s backup, together with your other apps’ data. That is Android’s own feature, run by Google under your Google account and Google’s Privacy Policy. This version sends nothing itself, and we do not see the backup. You can turn backup off in your phone’s settings.
4. Third-party services
This version contains no analytics service, no crash-reporting service and no Google Play Games, and it does not read the Android advertising ID. No third-party service receives anything from it.
One button in the app hands something to another app on your phone, at your request: “Full policy”, in Settings → Privacy, opens your phone’s browser at this page. The game sends nothing with it. The browser then loads this page like any other web page, under its own privacy policy. If you write to us at the address in section 16, we receive what you send (your email address and your message) and use it only to answer you.
5. How your data is kept safe
- On your phone. Everything in section 3 is written to the app’s private storage, which Android keeps separate from other apps. No other app can read it.
- On our side, nothing. We run no servers, no database and no account system, so we hold no player data that could be lost or breached.
- No password to lose. This version has no login.
- A backup is yours. If Android backup is on, the copy is kept by Google under your Google account, protected by it. We have no way to read it.
6. How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you delete it (section 7).
- In your Google account, if Android backup is on: as long as Google keeps your phone’s backup, under Google’s own rules, or until you delete it.
- By us: nothing from the game.
7. Deleting your data
You control everything the app stores, and you can remove it yourself:
- Your progress, in the game: open Settings (the gear on the home screen), tap Erase all progress, then press and hold Hold to erase. This deletes your stars, your skipped levels and your Long Climb. Your settings stay.
- Everything, settings too: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → Bubble Springs → Storage and tap “Clear storage”. On some phones the page is called “Storage & cache”.
- A copy in Android backup: if you use Android backup, open your Google account’s backups (in Google Drive, under Storage → Backups (drive.google.com/drive/backups) and delete your phone’s backup, or turn backup off in your phone’s settings. This removes the backup of your whole phone, not only this game.
We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you have a question about deletion, write to hello@byteonyx.com and we will answer within 30 days.
8. Selling and sharing
We do not sell your data. We hold none of it, so there is nothing for us to sell or share.
9. Sharing
This version has no share button. It hands no picture, score or anything else about your game to another app, and there is no chat and no way to reach other players.
10. Permissions
This version asks for no Android permissions that need your approval: no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no photos or files, no notifications.
11. Internet
This version has no internet permission and opens no connection. The game plays offline. When you tap “Full policy” (section 4), it is your browser that goes online, not the game.
12. Purchases
This version has no in-app purchases.
13. Children
Bubble Springs is made for children and grown-ups. This version collects no information from anyone, of any age, and that includes children under 13: it asks for no name, no age, no email address and nothing else, and it reads no device ID. It has no purchases, no chat, no account and no way to reach other players. Everything it saves stays on the phone (section 3).
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent us an email, write to us and we will delete it.
14. Your rights
Wherever you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and the California CCPA, you have the right to know what data is held about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to have it deleted. We hold nothing, so there is no data about you on our side. Everything the game keeps is on your own phone, where you can delete it yourself (section 7). If you email us, you can ask us to delete that email at any time.
15. Changes to this policy
If a later version of the app changes what it stores or sends, or adds a third-party service, this page changes before that version reaches you, with a new effective date at the top. This is the page’s one address.
